SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan, Chin and Kayin States and isolated in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan and Rakhine States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, (2°C) below May average temperature in Kachin State and about May average temperature in Taninthayi Region. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Gangaw, (43°C) each in Minbu and Magway and (42°C) each in Kyemone (Agro-Met), Myinmu, Myingyan, Chauk, Aunglan, Pauk and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.17) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (2.05) inches in Chaungsone, (1.30) inches in Machanbaw, (1.10) inches in Kunlong, (0.94) inch in Mogaung, (0.86) inch in Putao, (0.75) inch in Homalin, (0.71) inch in Tiddim, (0.66) inch in Myitkyina and (0.55) inch in Kawthaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is  partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Northern Shan and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Chin State.
